2027 will have five eclipses: two solar and three lunar. They are concentrated in two periods of the year, in February and between July and August, with the Leo–Aquarius axis standing out, as it is activated by three of these events.

Of the five eclipses in 2027, three take place on the Leo–Aquarius axis: the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius in February, the Solar Eclipse in Leo in August, and the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius two weeks later.

Which 2027 eclipses will be visible in Brazil?

The eclipse that stands out most in Brazil will occur on February 6, 2027. The Annular Solar Eclipse will be visible as a partial eclipse from different locations, while a narrow area in the far south of Rio Grande do Sul will lie along the path of annularity.

On February 20, the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Virgo will also be visible from Brazil. Because the Moon passes only through the Earth's penumbra, however, the change in brightness tends to be subtle and may be difficult to notice with the naked eye.

The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse on July 18, in Capricorn, will not be visible from Brazil.

The Total Solar Eclipse on August 2 will not be visible as a total eclipse in Brazil. A small area of the country will be able to see only a partial phase of the phenomenon. The path of totality will cross parts of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Finally, the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse on August 17, in Aquarius, will be visible from different parts of Brazil during the early morning hours.
