Tarot is a system of symbols organized into 78 cards. Each card brings together images, numbers and elements that represent recognizable human situations: beginnings, choices, losses, achievements, fears and growth. Reading the Tarot means relating these symbols to the moment of the person asking.
Major and Minor Arcana
The 22 Major Arcana, from The Fool to The World, deal with the big themes and turning points in life. The 56 Minor Arcana speak of everyday life and are divided into four suits, each linked to an element: Wands (Fire, action), Cups (Water, emotions), Swords (Air, thoughts) and Pentacles (Earth, material life).
